The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public s help to identify four people investigators say were involved in the theft of nearly $5,000 in jewelry from a Dalton retailer.According to a news release, the theft occurred around 2:45 p.m. on June 22nd at the Casa Blanca s jewelry store at 1100 East Walnut Ave. Three black men and one black woman were recorded on the store s surveillance system arriving within a short time of each other, police said.The woman kept the clerk occupied, asking to see different pieces, while one of the men near the front of the store opened a display case and removed at least five rings with a total value of about $5,000, police said.After the items were taken, the group left the store together.
