Time out does not seem to work for my middle child. She can sit and think all day long but will go right back to what she was doing before. But take away her dance class or princess dress up clothes and you have her full attention and the behavior is corrected.

Time out works if they are really worked up or out of control.

I believe time out is a great approach to handling a child who doesn't follor your instructions it gives the child and you some space so you can cool down.

I am glad you chose time-out as it gives both the child and teacher time to cool off and allows the child time to think of his actions and consequences.
