Think of someone you know who either has high expectations of himself or herself, of others, or of life; or who is a glass half-empty person. How do your think this personality trait affects their personal life? What do people think of that person? How do people react to that person?

My son who is 10 is a glass-half empty person and has high expectations of others and it is very frustrating. I just want him to relax and be okay with mistakes and look on the positive side. THen I realize that he gets it from me.

glass half empty people are difficult to be around, but glass half full people usually lift you up.

I know a person who is always negative about everything and has to overthink every situation. She is well liked and very helpful when needed.

I would agree that I know many people like this who I like and are very helpful, but sometimes they are also very stressed if under too much pressure.

The expectations may be too high or too low, but this will result in getting avoided by that person.
