OVERVIEW

This course provides learners with a deep understanding of the HIPAA security regulations concerning administrative safeguards for securing protected health information. The rules have been revised and include the Final Rule made by the Department of Health and Human Services to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) effective September 23, 2013.
