OVERVIEW

HIPAA: Privacy provides a deep understanding of the federal regulations on medical information.The rules have been revised and include the Final Rule made by the Department of Health and Human Services to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) effective September 23, 2013.

OBJECTIVES

Learners will develop specific skills through interactive and action-based lessons. These include developing an understanding of:

  5. General rules governing the use and disclosure of patient information
