Each of our four professional development courses are 5 clock hours and eligible for CEU/CPE credit. Our HIPAA Privacy course is a 15 clock hour course and eligible for CEU/CPE credit. OBJECTIVES | To develop the emotional intelligence of healthcare professionals through specifically designed training in areas of leadership development and regulatory compliance. Through interactive and action-based lessons, learners will develop specific skills. These include: Effective Facilitation of Meetings: Projecting meeting outcomes; setting the agenda; establishing roles for key participants; facilitating; capitalizing on meeting outcomes Empowerment and Accountability: Setting clear expectations; managing the flow of information; establishing effective controls; phasing in empowerment; balancing empowerment and accountability Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback: Identifying differences in personality style; giving feedback constructively; overcoming one’s own resistance to feedback; receiving and actively soliciting feedback HIPAA Privacy: Understanding key elements of the privacy regulations, including: who must follow these regulations, what information is protected, which individuals are entitled to privacy rights, rules governing use and disclosure of protected information, and notification and disclosure accountability Stress Management: Understanding stress and its external and internal sources; developing strategies for reducing long-term stress; building a tolerance to stress; reducing or eliminating short-term situations that cause stress; learning techniques for immediately reducing stress through relaxation |
