Technical Error Messages

If you are idle for more than 15 minutes and haven't logged off, your session will automatically end. When you try to continue, you will be asked to log in again.

Session Timed Out: Your session has timed out due to inactivity. Please close all browser windows and wait for a few minutes before logging in again. If you were taking a course, look for the bookmark in the lesson menu to see in which lesson and session you were working. If you have further questions, please contact us by email ([email protected]) or phone (972-241-8282 M-F 9:00-5:00 Central).

Course Session Connection: Your connection to our course database has been temporarily interrupted. Your course session has been saved up to the last activity performed. Please close all browser windows and wait a few minutes before logging into your courses again. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you continue to experience problems, please contact us by email ([email protected]) or phone (972-241-8282 M-F 9:00-5:00 Central).

These may be caused when there is an interruption with either the user's or provider's Internet connection and should be resolved quickly. If logged on, you will need to wait a few minutes before logging in again because you weren't able to log out before the interruption in service.

Course Certificate Messages

If any of the following appears when clicking on Certificate after you have finished the course, you will need to complete the specific requirement mentioned.

Assessments:
Please complete the three assessments (pre, mid, post).

You have not taken all three assessments.

You have not met the required pass rate.

If you get this message after you have completed all of the certificate requirements, then you have not met the 70% (default) pass rate that is required. This is a cumulative percentage of all three assessments. You may review the course content and retake the assessments as many times as it takes to meet the required pass rate.

Skills (Experience Chart):
Please complete 1 skill from each lesson (as shown on the Experience Chart).

To check this, click on Experience Chart in the left navigation bar. There should be a row for each lesson in the course. To see which lessons are missing, look in the first column. For example, if the course has 6 lessons, there should be numbers 1-6 down the first column. If you only see 1, 4, and 5, then you missed submitting a skill for Lessons 2, 3, and 6. To complete the missing skills:

  1. Close the Experience Chart.
  2. In the left navigation bar of your course, click on the lesson with a missing skill and click on the last session of that lesson.
  3. Forward through to the last page of that session, input your skill and submit. Your Experience Chart will open again in a separate window. You should see the row for the missing lesson and the skill that you just submitted.
  4. Close the Experience Chart window and follow the same process for any other missing lessons.

Once you have completed your Experience Chart, click on Certificate in the left navigation bar. It should now display.

Course Evaluation:
Please complete the course Evaluation.

You need to complete the course Evaluation that follows the Post-assessment. Click on Evaluation in the left navigation bar. The Evaluation will open. Complete the form and submit.

Community Forum Postings and Replies:
Please complete the required number of postings and replies in the Community Forum (explained in the Overview/Requirements section).

This occurs if you have not met the minimum response and reply requirements for the course as stated below (found in the instructions at the beginning of each course):

Each lesson includes topic-related questions that lead to dialogue and further learning between peers in our Community Forum. Responding to 25% of the total number of Community Forum questions in a course and replying to 25% of responses of other learners in the Community Forum (per course, not per question) is the required minimum participation in order to receive the certificate. Your Interactivity Level is found on your transcript: Low (25%-39%), Medium (40%-74%), High (75%-100%).

For example, if a course has 12 forum questions within the lesson content, you must answer at least 3. In addition, you must reply to at least 3 other learners' comments in the Community Forum. Note: it is 3 replies for the course not for each question. The number of forum questions within each course varies. Most of our 5 clock hour courses have 8-12 questions. Some of our longer courses may have 15-28 questions.
